Janice
A. Brown
Ms. Brown serves as President of MSI and is one of its founders. Her specialty is in understanding the impact of the restructuring of the healthcare industry and changing policy on consumers, patients, physicians and other healthcare professionals. Ms. Brown uses this insight to help organizations succeed in the new industry structure. Her research focus includes brand management, product development, satisfaction and loyalty, clinical quality, communications development and testing and business strategy.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Brown was MSI's chief operating officer, responsible for managing the Research Operations Center, corporate groups and large multiphase projects. She has more than 20 years of diverse management experience with Market Strategies, Market Opinion Research and Bechtel Corporation.
Ms. Brown is a member of the MSI Management Committee and its Board of Directors and is active in several industry groups. She received her bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and completed the Executive Management Training Program at Stanford University.
Susan McIntyre
Ms. McIntyre is a Vice President of MSI’s Healthcare division with 18 years of market research experience in the healthcare industry. Susan is known for her comprehensive understanding of the issues facing health insurers, hospitals and health systems as well as innovative research design and insightful analysis.
Ms. McIntyre joined MSI in 1999 and is responsible for designing and directing strategic market research projects and delivering actionable reports and executive presentations. Susan’s specialties include new product and service development, brand and communications development and tracking, customer satisfaction and loyalty measurement and customer web and telephone inquiry satisfaction.
Prior to joining MSI, Ms. McIntyre served as corporate research manager for Regence, a leading health insurer in the Pacific Northwest, where she was responsible for customer satisfaction and loyalty, brand positioning, customer segmentation, product development and communications research as well as secondary research, competitive intelligence and forecasting.
Ms. McIntyre earned an MBA from Seattle University and a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from Seattle Pacific University.
Andrea Tuer
Ms. Tuer is a Research Director within MSI’s Healthcare division. Since joining MSI in 2000 Andrea has managed all aspects of research on quantitative and qualitative projects. Her responsibilities span proposal development, questionnaire construction and testing, management of the day-to-day operations of projects, data analysis and report writing. Andrea has been involved in research on product and brand awareness, brand image, advertising, customer satisfaction, new product development, and segmentation studies.
Ms. Tuer holds a master's degree in marketing research from the University of Georgia and a bachelors degree in business administration from Central Michigan University.
Kenneth Chung
Mr. Chung is a Study Director within MSI’s Healthcare division. Mr. Chung manages the research phases of quantitative projects and is actively involved in proposal development, questionnaire writing, field management, data analysis, and report writing.
Mr. Chung holds a master's degree in social work and a bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Michigan. Prior to joining MSI in 2007, he held management positions with the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan and a healthcare research firm conducting large-scale satisfaction studies. Mr. Chung is also experienced in the health plan arena with former positions in the disease management and quality improvement departments for M-CARE, the University of Michigan’s former health plan.
Thomas Devaney
Mr. Devaney is a Study Director within Market Strategies’ Healthcare division. Prior to joining MSI in 2006, he held both corporate marketing and data analysis positions in the software development and survey research industries. In his current role, Mr. Devaney manages the research phases of qualitative and quantitative projects for a broad range of healthcare clients. He is actively involved in proposal development, questionnaire writing, field management, data analysis, and report writing.
Mr. Devaney earned a bachelor's degree in area studies from The University of Chicago and is currently pursuing a doctorate in education policy from Michigan State University.
Christine Diani
Ms. Diani is a Study Director within MSI’s Healthcare division. Since joining the company in 2000, Christine has conducted qualitative and quantitative research projects within the healthcare, telecommunications, energy utilities, and financial and insurance industries. Christine is skilled in the management and analysis of customer satisfaction and loyalty research, including the use of MSImpact Modeling®. In addition, her experience includes new offer development and optimization, including the use of choice-based conjoint analysis and the development of customized demand simulators.
Ms. Diani earned an MBA in marketing and international business from Willamette University and a bachelor’s degree in economics and environmental studies from St. Lawrence University.
Aaron Turner
Mr. Turner is a Study Director within MSI’s Healthcare division. Aaron has nearly a decade of market research project management experience, including four years focused on the healthcare industry at MSI. He is responsible for all aspects of the research continuum from study inception through analysis and reporting and has worked on a wide range of quantitative and qualitative studies for insurers, hospitals, technology, and distribution companies. Aaron is a trained focus group moderator and has conducted focus groups and one-on-one interviews with a variety of healthcare stakeholders, including consumers, physicians, employers and brokers. Prior to joining MSI, he worked under contract as a data-mining consultant for Ford Motor Company’s Global Consumer Insights division.
Mr. Turner has earned a B.S. degree in business administration from Michigan Technological University and an MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy.
